The roots, the vision,
Piko was founded by Alex Milewski — a mover, artist, and community builder — who envisioned a space where the creative and ceremonial life of Kauai could have a permanent home.
Alex serves as The Bridge at the heart of Piko's organizational structure, connecting all functions, mediating between circles, and holding the space for the community's growth.
What started with a dance floor and a dream has grown into a living system — seven spaces, eight working circles, and a community that tends itself like a garden.

Seven vital functions — grounding, creativity, drive, heart, voice, vision, and purpose — each held by a dedicated role. No single function is "in charge." Like the chakra system, health depends on energy flowing freely through all seven. At the geometric center is the Heart — connecting everything, belonging to everyone.

The heart of our campus is a large open-air wooden structure built for movement, ceremony, and gathering. Its walls breathe with the trade winds. Its floor has held countless feet in dance, meditation, and celebration.
Sacral · Svadhisthana
Woodshop, tools, and storage — the hub for creativity and the hands-on work of building the space and land. Where ideas take form through craft and making.
Root · Muladhara
Administrative bedrock of the property — the systems, logistics, and records that keep everything structured, accountable, and sound. Where the practical roots of Piko are held.
Third Eye · Ajna
A space for stillness, reflection, and inner clarity. Where the mind settles and the deeper questions find room to surface.
Throat · Vishuddha
Communications, recording, and sound work. Where Piko's voice takes shape and reaches the world.
Solar Plexus · Manipura
The communal kitchen and gathering fire — where the community comes together around food, shared meals, and the energy that fuels everything we do. The belly of Piko, where nourishment becomes momentum.
Crown · Sahasrara
Where resident artists, teachers, and collaborators stay. A portal for new energy, ideas, and creative exchange.
